Message from Chair

Hello from the General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC), and welcome to the autumn edition of our newsletter.

We’re now well into the new triennium, and it’s been busy!

Reaccreditation of activities

You may have noticed an inability to enrol in a number of skills training activities, due to the new triennium reaccreditation. We’ve now completed reaccreditation of all activities, and you can review them via the RACGP dashboard or using the links in our education section below. We appreciate your patience while we work through these issues.

Focussed psychological strategies CPD compliance

Focussed psychological strategies (FPS) CPD compliance came to a close at the end of March. We appreciate FPS providers spending time to maintain registration. We encourage providers to complete their six-hour FPS CPD earlier this triennium. We’ll send a quarterly e-newsletter to providers to alert them to available CPD activities, which we hope will help relieve some stress.

General Practice Convention and Exhibition conference

Finally, the GPMHSC will attend the General Practice Convention and Exhibition in Sydney on 19–21 May. If you have any questions about mental health skills training, FPS skills training or anything mental-health-related, visit our booth.

Chair, GPMHSC
