Medicare reporting requirements

A quick reminder that training providers must advise GPs that they need to give provider numbers to the GPMHSC to report completion of Mental Health Skills Training (MHST) to Medicare.

GPs can’t be reported to Medicare without this information and will be ineligible to claim the higher MBS item numbers. GPs can add their provider number through the ‘my account’ button on the RACGP website, or via email to mentalhealth@racgp.org.au with their RACGP ID.
