CPD changes
We are now in the new triennium, and the CPD change from points to hours has come into effect.
As of 1 January 2023, the new Medical Board of Australia (MBA) requirements require GPs to log 50 hours of CPD every year (made up of educational activities, reviewing performance and measuring outcomes), complete a professional development plan and refresh skills with one cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course in the triennium.
If you’re still unsure what this means for you, RACGP members can visit the RACGP website for more information and to register for a free information session. Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) members can access information via the ACRRM website.
